15 mins ethnic-style flower band

Last saturday we had a Fresh Cut Event starring Boris Brejcha from Germany and i decided to wear something ethnic because i spotted my ukrainian-style skirt i've made some time ago for a photo-shoot.. then i thought that my outfit lacked some head accessories and i ended up DIYing this floral head band..

To make something similar you'll need:

-ribbon with ethnic pattern
-a little piece of elastic band (about 5-7 cm)
-scissors
-glue
-lighter
-needle and thread
-artificial flowers

1  1. Measure the circumference of the head and the distance you want to be between the flowers.

2. Subtract the length of the piece of elastic band from the circumference of the head, and cut the resulting measures off the ribbon.

3. Slightly burn the ends of the ribbon, for it not to shred. Fold ribbon in half and mark the middle.

4. Lay off the distance between the flowers (which we measured in step 1) on measuring tape and fold this piece in half.

Put together the middle of the folded segment of measuring tape with the middle of the folded ribbon and mark the place where the flowers will be.

5.   Sew elastic band to the ends of ribbon.

6. Cut off the plastic fixtures from the back of the flowers (anything that interferes with the smooth gluing)

7.   Put the flowers in the distance marked earlier (step 4) as we would like to glue them to the ribbon.

8.   Glue the flowers to the ribbon

9. The ethnic-style flower band is ready!

I hope everything was clear .. at least I tried to describe the process as simply as possible (^^”)

3.10.11 Foreword

Hi! I'm Marika, i'm a dj, producer and promoter from Ukraine.
I looove having crazy fun, going to parties and lazing around.

I'm not fashion-aware, and i adore freaky and creative outfits and whatever i find interesting.
So recently i've been getting loads of questions, where do i get my clothes, accessories and etc...

well, of course i DIY a lot!! and THIS is the place, which i've made especially to show you all my how-to's... so, if you are as crazy as me and interested in DIYing, you are very WELCOME
to "Marika's DIYary"....let's get started...

P.S. most of the time i DIY when i need something which is not in my wardrobe very urgently, so the pictures of processing will be mostly taken with my phone camera, because normally i DIY in the spur of the moment to have what i need at once...so please don't judge the quality of the pics too strictly...
